🌸 Introduction to Women’s Health

Women’s health is more than medical care—it’s about empowering every woman to live a vibrant, balanced, and fulfilling life. From adolescence through adulthood and beyond, women experience unique physical, emotional, and social changes that deserve specialized attention and support.
At its core, women’s health encompasses preventive care, reproductive wellness, mental health, nutrition, fitness, and the management of chronic conditions. It’s about recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and ensuring that women have access to the resources, education, and compassionate care they need at every stage of life.

Our mission is to provide a trusted space where women can find reliable information, celebrate their strength, and take charge of their well-being. By fostering awareness and encouraging proactive choices, we aim to break down barriers, reduce stigma, and create a community where women’s voices and health journeys are valued.

SEXUAL & PHYSICAL VIOLENCE

- Every woman deserves safety. Every girl deserves a future.

Nearly 1 in 3 women worldwide have faced physical or sexual violence.

That’s 840 million women — and the number hasn’t changed in 20 years. In just the past year, 316 million experienced partner violence. This is not “far away.” It’s everywhere.

Violence affects health, safety, dignity, and futures. And prevention programmes receive only 0.2% of global aid.

But change is possible — when communities speak up and leaders act.

What you can do:

  • Share this message to raise awareness
  • Support local women’s shelters & hotlines
  • Speak up if you see signs of abuse
  • Call for stronger laws and better services

Polio is a highly infectious viral disease that mainly affects children under 5 years old. It invades the nervous system and can cause total paralysis in a matter of hours.

Symptoms and risk:

Polio spreads person-to-person, mainly through the faecal-oral route or, less often, by contaminated water or food.

Early symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, vomiting, neck stiffness, and limb pain.
